Worth visiting!
I didn’t have the best childhood here, but I don’t think it has anything to do with Minocqua itself, rather, the people that I went to school with and the small town mentality of such a place. It’s a really beautiful place to visit though, especially Blue Lake. I don’t suggest moving to Minocqua though.

I stay at Blue Lake for a week every summer, I’ve done it for going on 20 years now… it really is beautiful!

I grew up in a little cottage on Blue Lake. My Grandma has a summer home there, and I still visit at least every other year.

You can see all the yellow cabins lined up along the lake, on the island on the little side. One of the few places along the lake that doesn’t have something being rebuilt it seems!
