Untitled by Tio D. working to end Huntington disease

Not as scary or cold or wet as I had envisioned. A very special place.

And when they say “do not touch anything” that includes not placing your camera on a pile of bones to take photos by using a timer!

And when they say “do not use flash, no flash photography allowed” they mean turn off the flash on your camera. If you don’t know how to do that or you are not sure, just don’t take any photos in this sacred place. Down in the catacombs is not the time to try to learn how to do anything new with your camera. Freaking tourists, eh?

That sounds like a cool place. Is it as cool as it sounds?

A different kind of cool

It is a cool place. As far as I know, it is unique. Maybe other cities have created similar places, but I’m not aware of any.

Some people just don’t follow directions and/or don’t know how to behave. And when you are deep underground surrounded by very carefully placed piles of human bones, you don’t want anything bad to happen!

I broke that “no flash” rule once when I recently visited Richard Nixon’s birthplace.

I think I woulda stayed kosher flashless cool at the catacombs, however.
