My Second Home by Josh Mock

My parents moved here a few years ago and I’ve had the privilege to visit on numerous occasions. Admittedly, the city takes a bit of getting used to (especially for a Californian visiting in the dead of winter). But there is so much to see here. A perfect place for photographers, as it contains both new and old architecture, high class and run down areas, lots of nature and an almost-unpredictable weather pattern that could bring lightning to you as quickly as it could snow or sunshine.

I'd like your opinion, please

What is the political and cultural atmosphere like?

Would you be able to comment on this article?

What do you know about The New Life Church? Do they really act like that?

My opinion is based on a combined total of about a month staying there.

The political and cultural atmosphere is kind of split. Half the city is, as you may have gathered, conservative Christian. But the rest of the city is made up of young military families and still a great number of environmentalist-minded people. I couldn’t tell you exact percentage breakdowns, but it seemed like a fairly even mix politically. Culturally there is a good mix as well.

That article is probably mostly, if not all, true. But you have to remember that’s only one church. In all my time there I was not affected by the work of that church. I drove past a few times, but that’s about it. I don’t know much about them.

And what do you mean by “do they really act like that?” Act like WHAT?
