A tip I have about this place

I’m glad this place is now situated as separate from Baltimore city.

This airport is well outside of the city.. it’s not like Ronald Reagan airport which is right next to D.C… there’s a LOT of development in Anne Arundel Co going on these days so arriving at BWI drops you into a place that’s, in my opinion, definitely not Baltimore. When I was a kid it was called Friendship Airport, and I think it was actually owned by the city of Baltimore until the state of Maryland bought it.. Maryland Aviation Admin. runs it.

It's misleading information

Yes, I reported some time ago that the location was a problem. I pointed out the county location, which was of course dismissed. The appropriate location, barring county, would simply be “Maryland,” not Baltimore. http://www.43places.com/problems/view/31367
If you look at BWI’s web site contact info, the town name is the airport name, ergo it is a town unto itself in Anne Arundel County. The response was that it’s easier for visitors to find it listed this way. Once again, I don’t understand why that is. If you type in the airport name, it will come up. I guess some people will have a surprise finding themselves at a considerable suburban distance from Baltimore City or county.
