The article appeared in National Geographic February of this year. Robert M. Poole and Randy Olson collaborated to produce an excellent article. According to the article, the name “serenget” means “the place where the land runs on forever.” I did some research online, and found from a site belonging to U. of Oregon, that the language of the Maasai is Maa, of the Nilo-Saharan family.
