Worth visiting!
A tip I have about this place
I’d say it’s worth visiting once but not much more than that.

I live here too, the only thing that is keeping me here in this place is my dedication the the “club” I belong to, “Rebels With A Cause”. Personaly, I am a “Northwesterner” and for those who don’t know what that means, it means I’m from Washington state. I used to live here years ago and I really did’nt like it much then either.
The only reason I ended up back here was my folks lived here until they past away in (mom)2004 and (dad)2005.
So until I find a new place to go, I’m just tryin’ to make the best of it here. I do have to admit, Sacramento has changed a lot since 1990, and I have gotten to see and do more now then back in ‘90.
Ok, I admit, Sac has gotten better, “Keep up the good progress!”

I am assuming chaplain is a nickname for something? I work in the office at a manufacturing company and there’s a full-time chaplain here and he goes by “Chappy.”
Also, your profile says your home is in Alaska. Where in Alaska are you from? I lived in Soldotna on the Kenai Peninsula for two years. How long did you live there? How long since you’ve been there?
When I was in Sacramento I have to admit I didn’t get to see much (the train museum, Sac State, couple parks, that’s about it) but I also remember thinking that there didn’t seem to be much to see. So I take it has changed for the better, yes?

Actually CJ, I live in Sacramento, Ca. now, and yes, I am the “Chaplain” for our “club”, which is a “National” club. I did live up in Alaska from 4/97 to about 5/99.
I lived in Anchorage, Palmer/Wasilla area and out in Sutten. While I was there, I did have the pleasure of “Combat Fishin’” on the Kenai River, Panned for Gold on the Resurrection River out in Hope,Ak., and did the “Slammin’ Salmon” gig in Ninilchick at the “Deep Creek Custom Packing” cannery.
I also worked in Anchorage at Barry’s Lounge on 13th. and Gamble as a karoake’ host. My son still lives up there, and I would dearly love to go back someday.
My Grandfather, “Grant H. Pearson” was up there from 1925 till his passing in 1978. He went from being a temp Park Ranger to the Superintendant of Parks, as well as doing 2 terms in the Alaska Legis. 18th. dist.
As for Sacramento, well yes it has improved a great deal, I have to admit.
The traffic still “sucks” at rush hour, but that’s anywhere, lol.
