Why I want to go to this place

It would be interesting to see the game from the perspective of Steve Bartman at game 6 of playoffs (where the Chicago Cubs were just five outs away from going to the World Series).

When the incident originally occured, I was standing a mere 141 feet away.

I’ve been meaning to sit in his seat since last year when I blogged about it at: http://www.spudart.org/blogs/randomthoughts_comments/3466_0_3_0_C/

I almost sat in his seat once after a game, but there was a line of people waiting! And the seat isn’t even marked or anything, yet people KNOW it’s HIS seat.

Lasting Memory

I met someone else that was at that game. I never thought about a certain seat being popular, but I can see why. If it would have been against another team they would have immortilized that seat.

Bartman seat

Funny that you comment on this, because this August 2, I have tickets to sit in the seats RIGHT BY the bartman seat.

His seat:
aisle 4, row 8, seat 113

My seats:
aisle 4, row 8, seats 1-4

(yes, seats 1-4 sound far from seats 113, but Wrigley’s seating system is weird where half the aisle will have low numbers like 1 to 10, and the other half of the aisle has numbers like 110 to 119. So 1 to 4 are actually pretty close to 113. We’ll just how close come Saturday, August 2.)

Bartman Seat

You should take a picture of the seat and post in on here somewhere. Someone needs to drag him out of hidding!
