Café Roma was on the E side of Broadway, just N of John. I think it closed in the mid-to-late nineties, though I’m really not sure. There is a bar/restaurant/lounge in the space now called the Blue Bistro.

Café Roma was a pretty regular study spot for me when I was in college.
