So we ended up booking a jungle trip with Muyuna in Iquitos. I highly recommend them as we saw all sorts of wildlife (dolphins, sloths, monkeys, some sort of huge rodent, caiman).

Best of all, they are one of the best environmentally friendly amazon trips you will find. All the animals were in their natural habitat.
