Not worth it!

Part of the visit all NHL arenas quest  — 3 years ago

We were there for a playoff game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers. The fans sitting around us were just awful—way beyond good-natured ribbing (swearing, threatening us, throwing food, beer and sodas on us), and the ushers were no help. Easily the worst experience we’ve had at any NHL arena.

I will not go back.

Do those kind of things happen only at Tampa Bay stadiums?

It’s never happened to me anywhere else, and I’ve been to many stadiums in many hockey leagues.

:(, Ok then, on behalf of th ecity of Tampa, and on behalf of the city of St. Pete, as well as the Majors, and the chambers of commerce I hereby apologize to you for the negative experience…
LOL
Maybe that is the reason I don’t spend too much time away from my computer, and spend a lot of time from people from elsewhere…LOL

Can't say I'd go back either

While I didn’t experience the disaster you did, I was underwhelmed. $47.50 to sit nearly as far from the action as you can get? I’m glad I bought a scalped ticket at a large discount.

Likewise, the concessions were likewise so-so and overpriced. The team was ok. The arena not-quite-full.

I’d rather go to the MTS Centre in Winnepeg any time—they know what they’re up to.
