Worth visiting!

The Cabinet War Rooms & Churchill Museum...

were fascinating! It was as if the day the war ended, people just stopped what they were doing and left. This museum & the War rooms have been preserved for all to observe. The headphones that are provided as you enter the museum are highly recommended. They allow you to listen to the informative tour guide and actual recorded conversations between Churchill & Roosevelt as well as old radio broadcasts.

Glad I finally broke down

I had been to London several times and seen the Cabinet War Rooms advertised in various pamphlets.

Finally the last time that I was there (2003) I finally decided to go. It was an amazing place.

I like your desciption where you said, “It was as if the day the war ended, people just stopped what they were doing and left.” I think that to be a very accurate statement.
