Worth visiting!
We went to the Sculpture Park on May 25th when it was 75 degrees and beautiful. What a fantastic place. I had been wanting to go since the place opened and am so glad we went. In fact I will have to try and make this a regular place to visit.
I loved how the sculptures are integrated into the natural surroundings. The art tends toward the modern and is grand in scale. I added some photos from our visit.

I’m making a brief stop in Seattle in a couple of weeks. I’ll be staying downtown. Is it anywhere near there?

Yes it is near downtown. In fact it is on the north edge of downtown – between Belltown and the water.
From most downtown hotels it might be a bit of a hike. If I were you I would take a bus. That’s how we got there – a 5 minute bus ride from the downtown core. Or, a taxi would work too.
I hope you can make time to see it while you are here. The park really is beautiful. You can find more info here including some great maps of the park.
