HI! I will love to give my point of view about Venezuela! Actually I am from Caracas (The Capital), but my boyfriend in from Valencia. I have been there and it is like a quiet town. It has awesome schools for your children and I think that you will have a pretty good time there. The people in Venezuela are amazing! They are so kind and caring! It has beaches and mountains near the city. The capital is less than 2 hours away. If you love to travel Valencia is in a perfect location because it is like in the middle of the country, so you can go everywhere without any problem. If you have any specific questions just ask me. Once we had an opportunity to transfer from Caracas to Valencia and went there to check out housing, schools, etc. It is a beautiful, idyllic town. Very quiet in comparison to Caracas. I would have loved to live there, but the American school was very small, and my kids didn’t want to leave their friends in Caracas, so it fell through. I think it would be a fun adventure for you and your kids to visit there, but be sure you check out the political situation in the country. It has changed dramatically since we were there. It would be a lot safer if your boyfriend came here to the USA if you are thinking about a permanent relationship. Good luck!
