I am not sure who this person is but I feel I must defend the truth. Unlike this unknown person who hides behind the internet I am clearly stating that I am representative of the company she refers to. In any event, we rarely keep security deposits and if we do keep something on behalf of the owner it is completely justified. As this previous tenant states, we are not the owners of the buildings and we DO NOT RECEIVE ANY MONEY from the security deposit and therefore only have an interest in the truth. I assure you that the last thing we want is an upset tenant on the way out, a court date, or any other negative fall out that arises from keeping security. Most tenants seem to not fully understand their responsibilities and obligations as a tenant. We try to spell out everything very clearly in the lease but some folks do not even take the time to read it fully. I just wanted to comment that we are an honest group of people who do our best to be fair in the occasional tough tenant landlord dispute.

I know Steve Alvarez personally and in my opinion he is a little weasel who screws over his tenants. He claims that these are always complaining tenants but in reality it is 90% of his tenants. He screws over everyone around him and the first person is correct in that if his owners knew how he dealt with these tenants, they would fire him. DONT BELIEVE STEVE ALVAREZ !
