I Will be travelling to California from Australia in about 9 days(21st june) and i am so excited.it will be my first time overseas.
I would love to meet people over there and if u have any advice/tips feel free to write to me :)

California is a pretty big place.

Depending on where you are going, there are many good options.
N. CA:
SFO: Golden Gate, Museum of Fine Arts.
Toyota car making plant, if you care: http://www.nummi.com/tours.php
Drive on Highway 1. Say, SFO to Monterey.
Yosemite: On non-weekend

S. CA:
LA: Universal studios
Santa barbara and hearst castle.
