Worth visiting!

Rye ... The Town on the Atlantic between Hampton and Portsmouth

This of course is the town I live in, but Rye is a beautiful town if you like a quieter beach atmosphere than Hampton or Seabrook. Geographically speaking it is usually confused with North Hampton and vice versa. If you are into old Worl War II fortifications then Odirne Point State park is full of great old war stuff, as it was one of the most fortified U-Boat sighting zones on the east coast, and there are many war towers spread throught the beautiful million dollar mansions that once were owned by most of New Hampshires first governors. This includes Governor Wentworth, and Fuller, who have left behind beautiful estates full of precious gardens that are open to the public. Feel free to drop through Rye NH even if it is on your way to Maine, Portsmouth or Hampton :D

Rye Rocks

I lived in Rye for five years, moving away in August to live with my boyfriend in New Hampshire. It was really hard for me to leave it behind and I miss it every day. It’s a beautiful place. It’s got the best Recreation Department around, too :) (my former employer).
