Totally worth it, if you are flying American Eagle (probably to Dallas). They have about one gate that American operates, and it’s on the opposite side of the terminal from the one Southwest uses, so it’s really quick, but doesn’t offer a lot of amenities. The lines at security are always very short and you can park (short term, especially) really close to the terminal.

Agreed!

I’ve often thought that a lot of people don’t “get” Hobby. Not that there’s necessarily anything to get, but they seem to complain about it a lot.

The last time I left Houston by plane, I showed up later than I should have to find a line of at least 1,000 people trying to get into security. I almost had a panic attack, but I was through it in less than 20 minutes.

They don’t have amenities, which is why I think a lot of people complain about it, but personally speaking, I’m not at the airport to enjoy myself, I’m there for travel, so I don’t really care if there’s a shopping mall conveniently located ten feet from my gate.

And, yes, the parking here is fab. You’re in and out so fast.

Convenience is overlooked

It’s true, I’ve heard a disproportionate amount of complaining about this fairly inoffensive little airport. I find travel through IAH to be a MUCH bigger hassle, especially if you (like me) have to cross the entire city to get there.
