Worth visiting!

"I'll let it slide, THIS TIME"

I went to Montreal with my high school’s marching band when I was a freshman. We were playing the half-time show for the Canadian equivalent of the super bowl or something. It poured and the field was nightmarishly soggy but I caught a free football thing so whatever. Anyway, on the way back home the border control climbed onto the bus and was all “Id’s please.” Naturally, I couldn’t find mine so I was pulled off the bus in the pouring rain. I couldn’t find it anywhere on me so I went down under the buses to check my luggage which I was told would have to be searched. I was also told I would have to be picked up from the border by my parents to confirm my citizenship. WHY WOULD A BUS FULL OF BAND KIDS SMUGGLE ME IN!? After about 3 minutes of looking through my luggage they told because my siblings were also on the trip along with my birth certificate, I could pass freely into America. As I’m walking back to my seat, practically sobbing mind you, the border guy goes “Yeah, I’ll let it slide THIS TIME.” AS IF I WOULD EVER GO BACK?!

talk about a first time leaving the country.
