Worth visiting!

Must See the Fountain

The Gateway Mall is a newer outdoor mall. It has a lot of trendy stores as well as a number of nice restaurants and entertainment facilities.

For me however, the biggest attraction at the Gateway is the fountain plaza. The fountain plays to music. It runs year-round. But in the summer the children (of all ages) are out and run through the water. It’s a lot of fun to watch, and a great way to cool off.

You should go up to downtown West Palm

They have a similar fountain at the end of Clematis Street right in front of the library; my friends have taken some phenomenal shots of kids playing with the jets of water that come out of the ground. During the summer, you’re almost guaranteed to have a crowd of 0- to anything-year-olds playing around :)

Count me in

Next time that I’m in West Palm Beach I’ll drop by the library and give it a shot.

The fountain in SLC runs all year long as far as I know. It’s fun to watch during the winter, but there aren’t a lot of people running through it.

In the summer it’s nice because our humidity is so low that you dry out fairly quickly.

Next time you're in West Palm Beach

If you haven’t given me a call to let me know you’re there, you’ll be in beeeeeeg trouble!

Thanks again

I did take that picture. That is my youngest daughter in the center of the picture. Her older brother (R9)is in the yellow shirt with his back to the camera.

I had to snap a lot of them to get the water and everything to look halfway decent. These darn digital cameras, you know. You push down on the button and then they actually take the picture whenever they’re darn good and ready.

Here they are again.

Those are great photos. The first one is still my favorite – it’s so happy. It just totally captures that happy-go-lucky, childish innocence so beautifully.

Let me know if you're going

There’s an awesome Middle Eastern restaurant on Dixie & Datura (1 block south of Clematis) called Leila. It’s kinda pricey but the food is sooo totally worth it :)

Sounds great

but I think this weekend has turned into a washout, photography-wise. :( Perhaps next week?

We must definitely go to Leila’s sometime soon though. Looking at that site has made me hungry. Hummus – mmmmm – yummy!
