Worth visiting!

Tempest

The Tempest Restaurant in Wolfville is my favourite place to go when celebrating almost anything. The food is diverse and great. It’s a fancy restaurant that doesn’t feel uptight and while you may dress up, you don’t have to. The food is presented in ways that always make me pause and admire it before I dig in. There is a loving attention to detail with everything in the restaurant.
In the Summer there is a beautiful patio covered with grape vines with smooth stones holding the tablecloths in place. There is no better way to spend an afternoon than sitting outside and enjoying a meal and some fine wine in the shade.
Every other week at the Farmer’s Market in Wolfville they have a booth with soups, salads and wraps.

my friend agrees

I asked a friend who lives near Wolfville what she thought and she agreed with you and wrote:

That is the best place to eat in Wolfville. We often go for lunch as the patio is just as they say, sun coming through the grape vines into the frosty white or the excellent red and pure white table cloths and napkins, black and/or white dishes and the only colour is their excellently prepared and presented food. Also the prices are very reasonable for lunch. Slightly more for dinner, but the courses keep coming. The chef will send out a special starter when you order wine and the desserts too are spectacular. Delicious and very classy place to eat.

You can also get good simple meals at a place called the Tin Pan (named for a doll that is purported to be a brother to Peter Pan…) and a ‘family’ style restaurant called L & E Rafuse. Then there is Acton’s which is consistently good and overpriced, but service and food is above average and the atmosphere is beautiful. New owners.
