I am not sure what happened in your case, but I just spent 4 days there two weeks ago and things were going well past 9pm. In fact, things don’t really seem to get going until around 9 or 10pm anyway.
Sorry you had such a bad experience.

well, actually I can enjoy what is around me most anywhere. I don’t require a club, bar or disco for someplace to be “worth visiting”. If that is all that I want, I can stay at home.
