And I had forgotten about that little trip! I took a trip many years ago to England, and I deliberately went to Lyme Regis after I had read The French Lieutenant’s Woman. I took a train from Essex to get near, then waited two hours for a bus that finally came, and that trudged along until we got to the seashore and Lyme Regis. Enchanting little town with enchanting little towns, and a delightful but tiny museum dedicated to the author of the book!
