I was born here, and live close by – so I’ve got to agree that it’s nice. Lygon Street is obviously the highlight (great food, Lygon Court, Readings, etc), though there’re some good restaurants on Rathdowne in North Carlton. Forget about buying a place there, though, unless you earn a neurosurgen’s income (it is adjacent to Melbourne Central, after all.)
