Not worth visiting!

not if you're Chinese...

So I’m sure there is lots to see and enjoy in Jakarta, but if you are Chinese or even remotely Chinese-looking, you will find the racial discrimination there pretty depressing, especially during any politically-interesting period. My family and I were there for a bit in 1997, and I felt really uncomfortable with all the glares and sometimes even more overt yells from people. It was illegal to teach or publish anything in Chinese. Family friends “disappeared” during the political upheaval of the time, and many of my relatives fled to Australia and other places in Southeast Asia.

glad here to do a reply, I’m friendly suggest you something, not be a guy from China but i do, and as a friend.

first, if i were you, i won’t use that BIG words like Chinese, i prefer use some of them, or probably….because you never know what happened with peoples, maybe they lost parents or deal with the BIG matter in life.

second, i prefer wirte it is my personal thinking, what do you say? give others more and more room so that they can giving their ideas, no matter good one or the one you are not really liked, but anyway, they all are thinkings, and all from our mind!
