Worth visiting!
This is on the east side of Nungwi, about a 20 minute walk away from the touristy side of town. The bright side is that the villas are cheap, relaxing, and private. Rashid and Omar, who own and run the place, are great guys and will really look after you. They don’t look at you like dollar signs on legs, unlike many of the other tourist businesses in Zanzibar.
BTW, the picture is the view from the room’s terrace.

Depends what you’re looking for… If you’re not looking for absolute luxury, then yes.
If you’re looking for a functional villa that’s a bit off the beaten place and has a gorgeous private beach and great owners, then I highly recommend it!

I have no idea about the weather in Jan. You could check out lonelyplanet.com’s Tanzania guide and get the avg. temperatures there.
Not sure about missed luxuries either! I was only there for 3 days, but could easily have done a week exploring different beaches.
