How this place changed my life

I lived here when my father was stationed by SAC here from 1968-1970. He was working on missles and to a lesser degree communications. This was his last location before leaving the service and returning to civilian life.

I was in 1st and 2nd grade at the school on base. Celebrated my First Communion at the chapel on base. I remember having touch football games in the lots behind the triplexes. Lots of kids in the neighborhood and we had great snow-fights in the winter.

It was in Minot that I learned about wind-chill because that influenced how long my mother would let us outside to play in the winter.
