So why did they take out the L from the West Side? I hear a lot about unequal CTA service depending on who is being served – i.e., excellent service for the rich folks in the Loop, pretty good service for the North Side (although it’s been lousy lately!), and lots of buses, longer travel times, and other problems for the South and West sides. I take the CTA everywhere (like you didn’t already know that) and these allegations certainly seem to hold up in my experience.
