Why I recommend this place to locals

Park your car along Harbor Ave. since the Seacrest parking stalls are limited to 2hrs and monitored closely.
Riding this passenger-only ferry across Elliott Bay last summer, I got a new perspective on this gorgeous city! I felt totally unencumbered while looking back at my little MINI patiently waiting along Harbor Ave. for my return! Dis-embarking after this 12minute cruise! I was free to be a tourist for the day,visiting Pike Place Mkt,the Waterfront,and Western Ave without worring about parking!

This one is on my wish list...

Even though there’s not room for it on my official 43Places list. I think it would be fun to do going the other direction. I’ve heard there are some great places to visit if one is coming to West Seattle for a few hours using the water taxi.

It's a scenic walk..

from where the foot ferry docks along Harbor Ave to Alki Point and a LONG stroll at that! I would recommend it on a summer day and have lunch in one of the restaurants along the way.
