Worth visiting!
tolkien lived for two years in this area while he was writing the ‘lord of the rings’. and that’s how i always imagined the scenery in the books to look like. take your time, hike the annapurna round trek, and simply be in the mountains.

Have you found out yet that when you try to explain the Annapurna experience to others they just don’t understand?
I did the circuit in 2003 and it is probably the greatest experience and triumph of my life. But even with photos I don’t think you can even explain to anyone the pure majesty of the scenery or the beauty of the people or the sheer exhilaration that is every day of that trek.
