Qiantang River

(in China > Zhejiang)
immense tidal bore  — 1 year ago

There’s a great deal that I’d love to see, in China, but I’d wish to time a visit to catch the annual, intersecting tidal bores at the mouth of the Qiantang River, truly a natural phenomenon that must be seen.

Isn't it spectacular?

It was amazing just to see it on film; the two tides barely disturb each other. It’s also the largest tidal bore in the world, with spectacular height (up to 9 metres). The festival is meant to be a good party, too. I’m really looking forward to it.

WOW!!

(doesn’t look like an immense bore to me, though!)

True, not a boring bore! Good point!

And the festival is said to be a great party, too, but Chinese festivals always are.

Thanks, Stacey!

I hope you didn’t really pee, though! We both send much love right back!
