But that is only my opinion. You may have different interests, therefore find nothing to do in this town.

I see by your posts that you have visited many wonderful places, places that I only wish I could travel too.

But even if this town is boring…Don’t call it a Toilet.

I have lived here most of my life(since I was 8, and now I am 29) and there is lots of stuff to do here.

It’s a great place for My family and I. The only thing I am not big on is the hot and humid Florida summers. My Ideal place to live would be near Asheville, NC…but even then I won’t knock this simple town for what it is.

Simms Park, frequently has many different festivals, with lots of great food, entertainment, and tons of vendors to buy stuff from.

There are events for Chasco Fiesta, & for Christmas. There are events for 4th of July, and events to usher in Fall.

There are lots of Great resturants and culture, and we have the Sponge docks Nearby in Tarpon Springs, which is only about 10 minutes from New Port Richey

It’s not a big touristy place, but as a resident of this town i always find stuff to do (and not enough time to do it LOL)

There is even an annual Pasco Pagan Pride day (which started in 2005) in which I am on the planning comitee for.

There are lots of Bars and a few clubs around that are fun places to hand out with your friends. Some of these clubs have bands of all types that perform there.

There are a few small beaches here, which I love to take my kids too.

There are coffee shops and bookstores, there is a movie theatre…and best of all it is not too far to go to Tampa (about 45 minutes) or orlando (about 2 hours).
