The Hrauneyjar area is quite beautiful but the Service Center there really isn’t the nicest place in the world. Like many travelers I’ve still stopped here a couple of times (to take gas, eat and so on). I’ve even slept here in one of the former worker-containers. So why is this place worth visiting? ‘couse it’s the only one around for miles.. you might get into trouble or die if you don’t.
