I live here since 1965 and I find always something to enjoy, even after 40 years :-) The town is shaking up since the Berlin Wall breakdown in 1989 – it’s worth a visit!
Espacially in summertime it’s really nice because of the lakes surrounding the town, most of them former surface coal mining or gravel pits, where you can do swimming, windsurfing or even sailing.
The climate is kind’a special for the reason of the surrounding lakes – it rains seldom, summer is hotter then the rest of germany and wintertime we often have the lowest temperature.
