I went to Aomori City for the Shimoda Festival (I still don’t understand why there was a Shimoda Festival in Aomori and not in Shimoda); but things were so hectic – getting to the festival – festiving – getting home that it was like I’d never been there. All I really remember was the street where we stood and the beer and meat vendors. Great festival, by the way – I just don’t remember the city.
