Hi, I am new on this site, please bear with me. Could you please tell me if Mendenhall Glacier is worth travelling from the port where the cruise ships dock to go see? We have 19 people in our group. Thanks Could you please email forluxury@yahoo.com

Are you docking in Juneau? I would definetly recommend that you go see Mendenhall! To actually climb the glacier, it costs about $150-$250 pp. depending on the company you choose. If climbing isn’t your thing, you can always go to the visitors center, which is free, to view from across the glacial lake. Either way you go, it is a must see since the glacier is currently receding.
