Two words: Vlad Tepes. I have become borderline obsessed with the idea of visiting his many castles and fortresses, and have even launched a scheme to try and spend the night in an abandoned castle. We’ll see how that goes. Hope to visit Vlad-related sites in Bucharest, Bran, Poenari, Snagov, Sighisoara, and Targoviste. I’d also like to see Bucovina and its monasteries.
