I’m not sure what you mean exactly by “pleasures of life”, and I’m not a muslim. My wife and her family is. I have not noticed that they have lacked any enjoyment of life. Their lives are very much like my family’s lives in the U.S.

There are a large number of cultural differences, of course. And many of them are of a sexual nature. And Iran is, legally, a dry county. But plenty of alcohol finds its way into people’s homes if they want it.

They laugh, they party, they dance, they sing, they cry. What constitutes “pleasures of life” to you?

u sure can.. but u just have to believe in “enjoying”.. and sorry.. that does not grow from ur religion but from ur soul and the way u realize it for urself!

becuz there are different explanations of a good muslim, answearing this question is pretty hard.
but i think people are enjoyin their life over there. becuz they’re not that really religous!

U know, in Islam, it is said that a Muslim MUST enjoy his/her life! Enjoying life and Islam do not contradict each other at all. There are lots of things which seem contradictory at first glance, but if you pay more attention to them, you’ll probably find out they even support each other… Have fun ;-)
