I’m always happy to meet an Azorence that hasn’t been there yet. I was first there in ‘79, on a sailing yacht, working as crew. I fell in love with the place, Horta, Faial, but I also went back for the millinium, 2000, and got to know Sao Miguel, Sao Jorge, and 1 day on Pico. Go in summer, the weather can be a drag in winter. I would be happy to be your guide, and to go there again, but I am much older than you, I’m 53, so I don’t know if that’s what you would like, but I do think you would both love, and be surprised by what you find there.For fun, go to Faial.
