The magazine photos you see of the colourful coral & fish are enhanced via the photographic filters. When you snorkal and see for yourself the colour isn’t vibrant at all. You can also see from the polution the amount of dead coral is increasing.

The day trip is an adventure from port douglas out to the agincourt reef where the floating pontoon is. They have a glass bottomed boat that lets you see the coral without getting wet.

Trip is good but only concern is the quality of the coral / lack of colours. just bear that in mind if you go out there
