I’m sorry you had a bad experience here. I know the people can be really conservative, but I’ve never known anyone to be so rude. I consider myself to be fortunate to live in this area where the person in line behind me offers to pay for my video rental when I wasn’t prepared to take care of my late fee when I wasn’t expecting it.
You must have run into someone having a really bad day ‘cause in the several years I’ve been here, the people have been nothing but nice. Granted there are a few exceptions, but I think they have been fewer and further between than many places I’ve lived.
If you ever decide to revisit, shoot me a message and I’ll show you around myself. :)

Sequim
While I don’t live in Mukilteo anymore, I lived there for 23 years before moving to Sequim.
In fact, we just got back from visiting and staying Mukilteo. Everyone was just
as friendly as when I lived there.
Oh, the new Ivar’s is wonderful!!!

I know what you’re talking about. There are definitely alot of wealthy people living in and around Mukilteo. But I wouldn’t go so far as to say the place is ruined by it. You always meet your rude and arrogant people in life. And you can’t always judge ppl based on social class, whether that be rich or poor. But I’m sorry for your experience.
