Unfortunately I had the privilege of being born & raised in GI (as we call it). I saw the tail end of that failed experiment. I left 2 weeks after my high school graduation and never looked back. I still visit occasionally because of family & friends. However, I can only take 4 days at a time. Its just that depressing! People who claim this city isn’t that bad are just desensitized. If that’s the only environment your in, it’s easy to forget its abnormal.

The only good thing I can say is that my family & friends are kind, beautiful people. Also the food is good.
