Worth visiting!
A review of this place: There are many sections
I have visited nine myself. It all depends on the type of experience you would like to have as to what section you should visit.

Im taking my father to the great wall and I want to know what sections would be good for him because he has high blood pressure and is in his 60’s.
any advice would be very greatful. I just dont want to put too much stress on him but he does want to see the Great Wall.
thanks again
David.

To accommodate your father I would visit a section with a lift to the wall. Many of sections have lifts, but my experience was some of them were not in operation when I visited.
My top recommendation would be to visit Shanhaiguan. This area is beautiful and has many sections of the wall, including the “beginning” of the wall where it starts in the sea. The only downside is you will have to take a train a couple hours to see it. But once you are there a taxi can take you everwhere. There is the section in the sea, the section rising up to the mountain, a section crossing a river (the only section that was also a bridge), and if you keep your eyes open on your ride to the mountain section you will notice the ruins of a section that has not been repaired and is rarely visited except by sheephearders. The picture attached is from this area looking on the mountain section. You can easily make a day or two out of this trip by including a few of the other incredible temples and forts in the area.
If you must stay in the Beijing area I would recommend the Mutianyu section. There is a lift up, many watchtowers, and is in great repair. The trip out to this section will take a while, but it is well worth the time. When on top you will have the option of taking the cable car or a toboggan down from the top. Much fun.
I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need more info.

I never thought of the Great Wall of China as being in ‘sections’ before, but I guess it makes total sense.
Thanks for the great info! :)

I see that it is on your list of places. Each section is wonderful in its own right, but if your time is limited be sure to pick the right one.
