Lol! I work on the same street it is situated on. I passed by it on friday, but I still haven’t gone! I am just terrible! I was hoping to go with a big fan, but most people I know aren’t that big of a fan! It was an old bank. I love all those old bank buildings..so beautiful! Btw..I love your cat pic!

Well, I can’t speak for the other women who like hockey. I can only speak for myself. When I was a kid that was what we constantly watched..the whole family, parents and my brother. Wednesday and Saturday nights…on CBC ‘Hockey Night in Canada.’ In grade school I was the only girl who loved hockey. Everyone loved the Leafs while I always chose one of their rivals. How did I know that my knowledge of hockey would lead to the admiration of the opposite sex? I could rattle off the stats of all the teams and most of the players. My dad would wake up early most days to take my brother to practice or to games. I grew up loving it. I even went to Jr. A games. My dad and I used to go to a lot of NHL games too, cos his bf had season’s tickets. I find no other sport as exciting to me. The players are really athletic, rough and tumble manly like…and yet they are such gentlemen and have the characteristics of small hometown guys. They are like the guys next door living to you in the country. They just are so down to earth and really polite. Have you ever seen the players being interviewed? They are all polite and they never diss their opponents. They always say that they were lucky to win against such and such a team cos they have talent etc. If you watch other sports figures of professional team sports their attitude is just that…full of ‘attitude!’ Hockey is the only game that has the players lining up to shake their opponents hands after winning a playoff series or winning the coveted Cup. Hockey players are able to fight on the ice and remain friends in real life. Hockey players are REAL men! I think that is why most other women like it. When I meet a new guy I always ask what their fave hockey team is, and if they don’t like it I wonder what is wrong with them. Oh, I love hockey also cos…”I AM CANADIAN!” Lol!

You do run into loud mouth egotistical hockey players! But you can bet you as they are not good old Canadian boys! We Canadians are very humble…the players don’t show off and they are always respectful of their opponents. Watch and listen to a hockey player being interviewed! There is room for hockey for Americans…they just don’t know about the game..so they aren’t interested. They need to be educated on the game…it is a challenge that the NHL has to overcome. Hockey players get played squat for what they do! Sorry, I am so defensive..I am a die hard fan!
