I live here at the moment. Yes it’s bitterly cold. Yes it almost always is. Yes it’s horrendously expensive, and yes the countryside is incredibly beautiful, the cities varied and the food mediocre. We also have some of the best ancient iron age and stone age sites on the continent. However if you have to do europe and are pressed for time, do southern europe first. but out of northern europe, the UK is a must do.
