Fort Worth

Not worth it!

A review of this place: Not worth the trip unless you really love steaks  — 1 year ago

The city was a pit. Big. Industrial. The largest potholes I have ever personally witnessed. I thought we might have to have our rented Dodge Neon towed out of a few of them. But there was this one glorious, magnificent, fabulous restaurant that made the entire trip worth it…Del Friscos. The steak honestly melted in my mouth. So…if you must go to Fort Worth, don’t dream of missing Del Friscos steakhouse. It’s expensive, but you’ll probably never get a better steak. Make reservations, too.

Comments:

Ummm....

You must have seen the only square mile of Fort Worth that could be described as “a pit”.

This is a blind comment.

Or...

Our definitions of “a pit” must differ. I travelled a lot of the city, and found it not to my liking. Which is why I rated it “Not worth it” and gave my reasonings. That is the point of this website, right?
Since you have no idea how much of the city I viewed, and since the description of “a pit” is apparently subjective, wouldn’t that mean that your comment was the blind one?

Boring city indeed!

Ft. Worth to me was incredibly bland. I just didn’t see the big deal about the “cowtown” culture. Living here for a year was enough for me! The people there are of the “drugstore” cowboy variety. You know the type. They live in the cities and know virtually nothing about farming or ranching.

Yup.

That was my experience of the town. Cowboys? Whatever. Just a bunch of $$$-chasing, SUV-driving yahoos with too much sun exposure. But that was just one person’s experience.
