Worth visiting!
New Jersey is a beautiful state, and there’s nothing in california quite like the trees there, and sparta, especially lake mohawk, is a great place to visit. i would not recommend living there, unless you’re used to wealthy uptight small-town people and enjoy having nothing to do. Definitely worth a visit because of its beauty, and anything beautiful is worth seeing, but not worth an extended stay, trust me.

Sorry you didn’t find Lake Mohawk a town worthy an extended stay …I chose to live here because it reminded me of where I went to school in the Adirondacks. As far as the locals, we all aren’t uptight, we have plenty to do, trust me, and we’re all not wealthy. Describing many of us as Small town people would also be incorrect. Several of us are from NYC, West Coast, Maine, Florida, Europe and other interesting locations and have a variety of interests and occupations. Just because we choose to live in a unique community far from the city does not mean we’re country bumpkins. Far from it.
