Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

A glass filled with beer to its very top is the most common drink and is called “liso.”
Very thin crackers stuffed with “dulce de leche” (an extremely sweet cream) is called an “alfajor santafesino.”
Very near Santa Fe there’s Coronda, from where you can buy the best strawberries in the country.
Don’t leave Santa Fe before enjoying at least four “lisos” on a “patio cerveceero” (that’s a bar with an open space) and a “picada.”

Great tips!

My former Spanish tutor here in L.A. is from Buenos Aires. She always told me she preferred areas of the country that were away from the city. I’m excited to direct her attention to your entries. Last year, her U.S.born husband surprised her by sneaking down to Argentina (under the pretense of participating in a tango competition - long story) and buying her a piece of land in “the country.” You have certainly piqued my interest afresh in Argentina. I like the particular filters you look through and the data you choose to focus on and document.

Some distance's needed to write about a place

Well I’ve lived in Buenos Aires and abroad for a great part of my adulthood, and came back to Santa Fe just 4 years ago. Now I like to think I am aware of things that look only too familiar to be seen by the local eye.

Thanks for your comment and I’m waiting for your entries on your trip to Greece! (I’m planning to visit Athens and Corfú -maybe take a 2 weeks course on Greek- next year)
