Me, my husband and my 18 month old baby girl went on a day trip just to explore places near our city of Colorado Springs. I have a medical condition that sometimes makes my stomach upset and I have to go to the restroom, quickly!...We had just passed into the Wy state line and my husband was stopped by a WHP officer. My husband was going 9 mph above the speed limit to get to a rest stop for me. My husband is a Colorado Mounted Ranger, and in trying to get out of the ticket, he showed the officer his badge and told him about my condition. The officer followed us to a Port of Entry station where I could go to the restroom, but kept us for an hour. He intimidated us, called another trooper to do the same, and threatened to arrest my husband for showing him the Ranger badge, then gave us a $90 ticket!....It was a very horrible experience. The troopers were wanting someone to arrest that day, but we didnt give them the satisfaction. Laramie must be such a god-awful boring town, that it takes 2 troopers to write a speeding ticket for 9 mph over the speed limit!...I was later told by a local there that WY troopers love to pull over out-of-state people!...Well, we are fighting the ticket and will NEVER go back to that stupid town again!....
