Worth visiting!

The Buena Vista

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned this San Francisco classic yet. This the place where Irish coffee was invented, and there’s nothing better than a nice breakfast at the Buena Vista, complete with beautiful views of the Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge. The Buena Vista is located near Fisherman’s Wharf, on Beach Street, just opposite the terminus of the Powell-Hyde streetcar line.

It’s old school San Francisco, and always the first place I go on my first morning in the city.

way overrated

good (not extraordinary) Irish Coffees, but the food is poor and kitchen disgusting. also, the staff is extremely rude, from management on down. i’ve been many times, as i worked in the area and it was convenient. if your server is having a bad day, they’ll make sure you know it. if you have a problem with an order, don’t expect a friendly resolution. just stick to the coffees and don’t expect courtesy.
