I had this dream last night...

I had signed up for a year’s exchange program, and when they asked me what my 3 preferences for where to go was, I picked Tibet as my first choice and got it. Then suddenly a week later, I thought, ‘OMG, I don’t want to spend a whole year in Tibet, that is too scary, I should have picked somewhere else…I mean, I want to go to Tibet, but not for a whole year’

Does anyone know what this dream is trying to tell me? Is it just that I don’t want to spend a year in Tibet?

Best not to make too much of these things

Or, alternatively, you can get all Freudian about it…

Tibet is full of tall mountains, therefore it represents NYC with its tall buildings (don’t ask, it just does). Your dream represents your ambivalence at moving to New York.

Or maybe not. Sometimes the simplest answer is the best – perhaps it was just a dream.

i think you might be right about my ambivalence towards moving to new york, becuase i’ve had alot of dreams that relate to that. i don’t know why i didn’t think of that. i’m not sure about the whole mountain metaphor thing though, i think maybe it was about new york and there was a glitch in the system.
